Laser Therapy on arm

How Cold Lasers Work

We place the cold laser device on the affected area and leave it there for 7-10 minutes. Various wavelengths and outputs of low-level light are applied directly to a targeted area, such as the knee or low back. The body tissue then absorbs the light, and the red and near-infrared light produces a reaction. The damaged cells respond with a physiological reaction that promotes regeneration.

There’s no need to be nervous about cold laser therapy, because it relieves pain, promotes healing, reduces inflammation and speeds up wound healing, all without you seeing or feeling a thing.

Why Cold Laser?

One of the reasons why cold laser therapy is popular is that it can provide lasting pain relief, which can help people get off their pain medication. Cold laser therapy may also help patients avoid surgery. And compared to surgery, the therapy is much more cost-effective. It’s also completely safe and drug-free.

Who Needs Cold Laser Therapy?

At Perry Chiropractic, we get great results with cold laser therapy for conditions such as

  • Bursitis
  • Joint issues
  • Tendonitis
  • TMJ

We even recommend patients stop by our office after wisdom tooth extraction—applying the cold laser to the area oxygenates the tissues and helps healing begin faster.
